Restorative Process Facilitation

Restorative justice is an iterative process of unearthing and communicating one’s needs after harm. People who have survived harm have a right to make requests of the person or people who harmed them, their loved ones, and the institutions that failed them. People who have caused harm usually need help being in right relationship with their wounds to meet those requests.

I care about and hold everyone involved in the process to the highest regard.

How it Works

Organizations that hold serious processes can hire me as a contracted co-facilitator. I will work with participants at the community level and at the legal system.

This works well if your organization does not have a pool of facilitators to draw from in-house. You can add me to the pool and call on me when needed.

I work within a two facilitator model—what that means is that insead of creating binary supports (one side vs. the other), the same two facilitators meet wih the person who was harmed and with the person who caused the harm. I believe this is the most loving, honest, and responsible way to do this work.

Ideally, you’ll already have an identified co-facilitator in-house. If not, please reach out anyway and we’ll put our heads together!

I am based in Chittenden County, Vermont and can work virtually or in person across the state.

Next Steps

Our first step would be to schedule a call to determine fit. Exploring fit may involve talking with the person with the power to hire, the identified co-facilitator, the person or people seeking a restorative process, and any other decision makers identified at this stage.

I do not yet have the capacity to hold processes for individuals outside of organizations.
