About

I’m a carer, a convener, and a perpetual emo kid.

It takes a village to raise a facilitator, which is to say my faciliation is shaped by many teachers and teachings. Over the last decade, I’ve followed many paths in pursuit of a world where violence can’t take root: I have been a domestic violence shelter advocate, a hotline manager, and a leader of a coordinated community response group. I’ve been a trainer and community of practice holder. I co-developed and launched a national center on gender-based violence. I supported my county in developing restorative justice programming in cases of domestic and sexual violence and co-facilitated a domestic violence accountability group.

Above all else, restorative justice is the most right thing I have ever done.

My own restorative justice process after domestic violence transformed me in ways that continue to unfold long after the process has ended. My hope is that every person at the center of this type of harm gets to experience their own shift toward healing, integration, and restory-ation someway, somehow—whatever form it takes and whenever it arrives. I believe in restorative justice because I believe in people.

I have been formally taught by sujatha baliga & Erika Sasson, the Ahimsa Collective, The Embody Lab, Growing a New Heart, and Vermont Law School.

I live a sweet little life in Burlington, Vermont with my partner, our cat, and our dog. I am child-free by choice, and my most prized title is Aunt (or Ant if you’re on my mother’s side of the family).
